The best way to let a legislator know how you feel about an issue is to send a message. Legislators hear from their constituents every day. Many messages express personal thoughts and voting recommendations.
Everyone likes to know that what they are doing is making a difference, especially legislators who are representing us at a State and national level. A quick note of thanks acknowledges the efforts of the legislator and the ‘behind the scenes’ actions.
A letter of gratitude should be brief and include three points:
